Refuse Minor League Demotion Setting

This is turned off by default in the standard 2014 game? Was this a change in the CBA or something?

I am only speculating, but I have been thinking about this, and I believe it may be a concession to the approximately 8,000,000 posts that accompany every new version that complain along the lines of "I can't send any player I want to the minors, so the game must be broken". Obviously, I could be very wrong, but still ...

For sure. I guess I just know a lot of things changed in the most recent CBA, and I wasn't sure what the details in regards to this was. I mean, it seems a player can always refuse...I mean heck, you can't hold a gun to their head...

Yes it is turned off, which is ridiculous IMO. Anybody who wants to play real roster MLB should be aware of the rules and if they don't like them change it for themselves. This is very frustrating. We really should have a master list of what critically important features are disabled so that we don't waste our time thinking we are playing a league with all of the rules enabled.

I'm a little PO'd right now.

hmm, but let me guess the default setting for "league evolution" is still on?

It may be a small issue, but expecting the real MLB rules to be enabled by default in the MLB Quickstart when they are available in the game certainly isn't unreasonable.

Not unreasonable but also nothing to get your panties in a bunch about.

People are being awfully dismissive about a legitimate complaint.

Settings for any sort of quickstart or replay should default to the rules of the league (at that time, in the case of replays).

Markus already responded to this in another thread.

Post #3 in the patch thread acknowledges this issue..

Yes. And it totally shouldn't be.

They are all checked, but I get the grip

I go through the settings and check this stuff before hand, but it's also nice of the people on the board to find these things!

Since when did you become the arbiter of issue size? There are a lot of people posting about small issues and non-issues affecting them. I take that to mean I can do the same.

I don't see any reason why a standard MLB rule is not enabled in the flagship current day league that forms a large part of the new version launch. That's not a small issue, it's a big deal and it should be fixed along with the league evolution check box.
