Lag/Speed of game

Is the game really laggy for anyone else? Ive played on 2 different systems and its very slow.

Is it running in fullscreen mode? Have you updated your video card drivers recently? Outdated drivers are usually the reason for this issue.

I have to say it is slow for me as well, at least compared to 14. Playing in windowed mode.

What kind of system?

OOTP 15 has been optimized a lot and runs faster than previous versions. So, something in your system seems to clash with the game, slowing it down.

I was having the same issue but disabling 3D and Facegen solved it. I use neither as it stands, so no big deal.

Video drivers up to date. Windows 7, playing in windowed mode.

It has improved somewhat after disabling 3d/facegen

I've got a souped up machine that can play modern day video games and yet I'm constantly getting "Not Responding" for a second when I click on links in the game... I'm currently in the draft and its taking forever just to check the different players because of the constant lag. In the draft, it says "Building Player List - 94%" when I try to go back to the draft list, and it takes like 3 seconds each time. I don't remember this in past versions.

I think I'm just going to restart the game and turn off a lot of the other options like the different leagues etc. Its unplayable in its current format.

This year the draft in the real roster set has thousands of real draft eligible players, unlike previous versions. That's why it is a bit slow on that screen.

It's more than a little slow. I'm consistently waiting 10 seconds + after I click on a player's name, then try to go back to the draft list.

same thing happens on the free agent page.

Just to balance things out a bit, im finding 15 faster and more responsive than 14, i havent changed any settings since importing my 14 game.

I wonder what could be causing the slowdown these guys are experiencing?

Guys I have an old laptop with not a lot of RAM and after I disabled 3D and restarted my computer after I imported my leagues it has been faster, and I enabled 3D again...and no issues.

Not saying it could help you, but it can't hurt

where do i go to disable the facegen?

To disable facegen go to game settings.

Seems much better after starting a new game w/o facegen and 3d

Game is slower and laggy. I'm on a brand new Macbook Air. It seemed faster at first and now after a few games, it's bogged down.

I've noticed that 15 runs a bit slower than 14. But really not a big deal for me.

Mine is running lightning quick on Windows 8. Much faster than OOTP 14 on the same machine.

i run it on xp Intel pentium (r) d cpu 2.80ghz 2.00 gigs of ram and almost a tarabite of hd space... i still have 14 run way faster then 15 does is it because of the verison of windows?

I thought i would defragement my hd and that didnt work and i disabled the francegen and 3d and its still slow...

Have to admit that OOTP 15 is a bit slower than OOTP 14 was for me as well. My laptop and desktop have one of the best drivers and processors around (both are ASUS, dedicated for gaming) and yet the game runs into a not responding mode a lot of the time. I will turn off 3D and facegen to see what happens but I'd figure it would be faster given my gaming-optimized settings.

I can't get facegen to enable..

I changed it in the global options, restarted the program and it was disabled again..

Also very slow on generating the positional strength reports. So annoying to wait the time to generate this report, then click on a player name and then click the back button and it regenerates thew report, queue the waiting time again.

I know in OOTP 14 it got slow too but seemed to get slower the more history in the league. I have ZERO history in this league in OOTP 15. I ahve no problem with the report taking some time to generate, but it shouldn't regenerate when I go back to the report on the same day, as nothing will have changed.
