Need Advice On a Possible FA Signing

I am at the start of June with a 10 game lead in the NL East in my EBL vs MLB league. My team is horrific vs LHP batting around .219 vs .288 vs RHP. The team I will currently face in October has 5 LHP starters, 2 of which are future HOFers. I offered 1.5 million to a RF he is a .314 lifetime hitter vs LHP who ironically played for Glenbard the team I would face in the NLCS. (just LCS then WS). Glenbard lost to a team that was missing their leadoff hitter
(.278 120 SB approx) and their #1 SP (+20 game winner) My league is a fictional historical replay so the current players I have as starters i want to still get their AB's. Ozuna can play CF & is mainly a RF. My RF, Cummings, had 23 assists last year. My CF, Kline, is a LF and has a terrible arm and 6 range in CF. He is also one of the guys who can't seem to hit lefties but has 10 speed.
I kind of have an open spot at DH. I have used several players there this year. Kline would probably DH most of the time if I sign Ozuna and Ozuna would play CF vs LHP. My LF, Cisner, 1B Falcone, DH/1B Wyatt all are hitting less then .180 vs LHP. My backup 3B/DH who is a left handed batter is hitting .280 vs LHP but has minimal power. My 3B can also play 1B.
Should I sign Ozuna, not sign him or look for someone else?

Since you need help against LHP, it makes sense to sign Ozuna because he is good against LHP.

How are your team's financials, have a fair amount of free cash or treading the line? What is 1.5M worth in your league (in 1984 ML that sets the market, while in 2015 ML it's chump change)?

I'm pretty conservative on these kinds of deals - you have a 10 game lead, and he's 29 so depreciation is an issue. Flags fly forever, and although the incremental value of one bat vs. LH in the playoffs is significantly more for you than for most people (five LH starters?), 1.5M might or might not be a lot.

Actually, I think I just changed my own mind - I might just go for it and flip him for the best prospect I can get down the road.

I'd look at other options as well - guys who can play a corner IF/OF and whose only skill is hitting LHP have significantly more value to you than their current owner...

Unfortuantely when I offered him the 1.5 mil i was in Commish mode which means i can go way into red. I was already in the red. I have 5-6 expiring contracts at the end of the year and Ozuna will be a one year rental. My financials are set to 1990. My super utility player can play every position except C. She, yes she, is hitting .256 vs LHP .283 vs RHP and can run. Has 5 or so HR right now. She is currently the starting CF vs LHP 5 range 6 arm. Much better in the corners and SS.
