Current Ratings versus Past Stats (No Scouting)

Hi All,

I've been playing OOTP for over 10 years now. My understanding is that, when playing with no scouting, that results are based on the current player ratings that are visible (CON,POW, etc.). Any past season results, were based on player ratings at that point in time and are not necessarily a solid basis for expectations moving forward.

Can someone with knowledge of this please expand on this?

This is true whether scouts are on or off.
Ratings display and AI evaluations do not create ratings or stats. They are only distortions or evaluations.
If you turn scouting on the ratings in the player editor do not change. Those ratings create stats.
