tactics not saving?

it seems that my tactics are not saving. i went through and set everything up and simmed a few games, but when i went back and checked they were not what i had set.

just double checked that i am responsible for setting tactics, and i am.

Did you hire a head coach? If you have, he'll reset the tactics even if you have the AI settings turned off. We're going to be turning that hiring option off in the patch, it's not ready to be used quite yet and is causing issues similar to that one.

no, i didnt.

i just removed all of the assistant coaches and replaced them with new ones to see if that would change anything, but it doesnt seem to.

Which team are you playing as? I've tried to replicate the reports of this, but it always seems to stay saved for me.

calgary. i just started a new save too.

Still can't get it to change mine. Started as Calgary, switched all the power play and first line Mentality settings to Normal and shot targeting to High-Glove, played a week of games, then a month, and my changes are all still there. I made lineup changes and used the 'AI Setup Organization' button repeatedly, too, which will override some user-control settings, but it didn't touch the tactics.

Do you have any of the Team Control settings set to Assistant? Setting Tactics, obviously, needs to be under human control, but I'm wondering if one of the others is affecting something it shouldn't.

i have the ai controlling the lineup and training, but thats it. i may have started the save with the ai controlling the tactics, but hadnt played any games before i changed it to user control.

every situation and every tactic is set like this: v. def, v. pas, shot ++, v. rel.

also odd, switch goalie is v. fast, and both pull goalie options are 0 sec.

Still nothing with those settings. Do you remember which tactics settings you changed? Maybe the problem's with a particular one. And do you have commissioner mode on? That shouldn't affect tactics in any way, but I'm trying to get our settings identical.

those settings are what the ai is setting and keeping. mine were a mix, dont recall what exactly though.

no commissioner mode.

i started another save, same team, same other settings, so far this one is fine. id be willing to bet its because i had the ai controlling the tactics at first before i decided i wanted to do it.

Yeah, I think we'll need to have a look at that save. I can't get them to change my settings by starting with tactic changes on and then changing it later, either.

It shouldn't, that type of thing would be independent of platform. We'll take a look at the save, thanks.

I have that same exact issue with the Devils. All settings are controlled by me.
