Limits on Replays

Am new to game. Will be getting version 15 next month.
First off, I like to do historical replays making up teams from: for example: best of the decades i.e. 50's. I like to use actual historical players and mix individual players using a particular franchise - Tigers, Yankees, St. Louis, etc.
As I understand it, the new version will be better able to facilitate for mixing particular players for a particular franchise?
My questions:
Can you put limits on batters (AB), Pitchers (IP) (GS), and if so, will the computer simulation recognize these limits and flag some king of notification when the player has reached these limits?
Also can you turn a former starter into a RP and have the computer preference who is the closer, setup, long relief would be? Example: Can you have top 3 choices in order for closer, etc.? Does the computer simulation just do it's own preferences?
Are there any other concerns that I should have in trying to set a league up?
Thanks in advance,
Jim

You can't have at bats/innings pitched limited in OOTP. You could set things like "sit every 5 games", but no usage limits.

To the second question: YES. If you're managing a team or in "commisioner mode", you can manually set the team's rotation. You would have your 4-5 starters, and in the bullpen, you can designate roles like "setup man", "closer", "long relief", or "stopper". You can't have top 3 closers, but you can have secondary roles as well. Ex. setup man's secondary role is closer.
