Ratings Editor
Ok folks. I've been playing this game for a while, love it, and have had zero issues with it. However, I've noticed a problem. I've started a historical season(started in 1961 for whatever reason). I've done some player editing by using the Ratings Editor to increase the ratings for some players. I've noticed that the ratings seem to drop for these players from year to year. I'm wondering if there's something I can do to keep these ratings at the same level? (ie - if Power rating is 176, I want it to stay that way every year). I don't have the problem of dropped ratings when I start a season in 2013, but I DO have it in the historical seasons. Is there something I should/shouldn't be doing in order to fix this? Thanks in advance to whomever can help me out here!

If you're using recalc, then the ratings will be updated every year based on real life stats. So that's why they're changing. If you turn off recalculate but use development, then they can change on their own based on the development engine.
The only way I can think to edit a historical player and keep his ratings perpetually the same is to delete his historical player ID. That will prevent him matching up with the historical database for future recalc updates. And if development is turned off too, then his ratings should stay the same. Make a copy of your saved game for testing purposes before you try this. It could lead to unintended consequences like the player's history being lost. So test it first and simulate a few years. |
