Time travel to see one fight

If you could go back and watch any fight in history, which one would you pick?

Lots come to mind, but I am picking one that no film exists of and that is the first Greb / Tunney fight. It was a brutal affair by all accounts, Tunney's only loss and add to the fact that there is no film surviving of Greb fighting, even though he was in the ring 299 times.

Seems amazing that an all-time great could fight that many times and not one film survives.

I'd want to see the two Jeffries-Sharkey fights again.

Think my answer could change on an almost daily basis, but today I'd like to see Ray Robinson-Henry Armstrong in '43.

I know Armstrong was past it and the "love-fest" was held against Robinson, but still like see their style mesh-up.

Oh the days of your youth

This is a good call though, I read Sharkey's book and these fights sounded brutal.

This fight and Papke Ketchel III were my short list.

I'll opt for Ketchel

I thought about that one. Imagine the scene with 30,000plus fans under that hot Aussie sun and a few thousand US bluejackets amongst them with plenty beer no doubt. I'd want to be under a shady spot with a couple of cold ones to see that. I'd still be cheering for my boy Tommy.

I'd also like to go back and see Duran-Leonard in Montreal again, just to sit with my dad again. That was one of the last live fights we saw together.

That's a fight that I watch maybe once a month and still get excited over.

Funny that you mention that one. It's the whole reason why I'm here and bought this game.

This is purely emotional, but Leonard/Hearns in 1981. I was 10 and it was the first time my dad let me stay up with him to listen to a fight on the radio.
