Template request
Is there anybody who might be able to make a very simple home plate shaped template similar to the logos found on the MLB network? I know there are some out there, but they have proven too complicated for me. I am just looking for something where I can just fill in the appropriate color on the inside, and then place the logo on top...maybe a secondary border color. I can't deal with layers, so that's why I need a very remedial template. Any help is appreciated.

This is about as simple as it gets... I think Gern made this one, but not absolutely sure on that...

Just did a search for these. I am afraid I'm going to need something far more simple...just background color, and logo on top. So really, I think I am just looking for a frame. I can't deal with textures, and layers and such.

This one is as simple as it gets amigo... It has two colored layers and one layer that is the glow or sheen, but you can just disable that if you don't want it... Actually you can disable whichever of the three layers you don't want and just have one color layer and the logo you insert... Pretty simple...

what do you think of this?
EDIT: I gave it a lighting effect, but I am not sure how to do a "gloss" effect, which I think might look a bit better Last edited by PSUColonel; 03-08-2014 at 12:31 PM. |

Looking good. Instead of the spotlight try the lens flare 50-300 mm Zoom.

Awesome.
First I would put a glass button or plastic over top of the whole logo. Then add the lens flare. You can adjust how bright you want the flare to be. Brighter means the camera was closer. I prefer a further away camera flash as it is more subtle.

If you do use a bevel use it last or on "visbile merged" just before the button and the flare.

1. Get layers in order
example: C. Logo/font Layer B2 .........<coloring layer> B1. Additional stripes, stars, lines, etc. layer(s) A2. ..........<coloring layer> A1. Homeplate Layer (Background) 2. Merge visible. 3. Bevel here option 4. Glass button 5. Lens flare (Ligthing effect) 6. Shadow or 2. Merge visible 3. Glass Button 4. Lens Flare 5. Bevel/and or shadow Just remember to save your PSD file before you merge just in case you want to come back to it in a couple of days. If you merge then save you will have to start all over. You don't have to merge but it eliminates accidents. You're doing great.
