Making base running decisions

When I have to make a decision to send a runner or hold him, is there anyway to have the decision box show me the runners speed and the fielder's arm rating?

If I have a runner on first base, how can I look to see if the first baseman is holding the runner on or is he playing off the bag?

Thank you.

The popup decision box rates the fielder's arm for you.

Unless I'm hallucinating the runners speed and steal ratings are on the screen.

Just checked and yes they are.

When the Decision box comes up, my screen does not show any stats at all.

It's not stats you are looking for.

Are you saying you can't remember his ratings in the time it takes you to click the pitch button? Maybe it's just me but I know who the good runners are, who has a good arm anyway.

YMMV

Plus, when there is a runner on, it shows his speed/steal rating.

It's the screen called 'BNN BROADCAST'

At the top of the in-game screen, it's the gray tab (button) at the far left. When in this view, there's another spot to click (I think it's blue and near the top right) labeled 'Configure Sceeen' or something like that and you can show/hide a bunch of the little info boxes. Click and drag these boxes to move them around the screen to your liking.

The runners speed is not always shown. The pop-up box blocks the runner if he is on second base.

I just go with the "I just know" who is fast or not, but it would be nice if that pop-up was movable.

Would it be too difficult to look at the players speed before the pop-up box opens? Of course that would require multi-tasking I suppose

Why is everyone such a smart a$$ here?

Due to an injury my short term memory is not the best.
I was just hoping someone could help me out.

One thing you could do is turn that portion of the game over to the AI. Afterall, taking an extra base is more of a base coach/player decision than a managerial one. I used to play another game and it would have a popup asking if you wanted to try and throw a runner out at the base or hit the cutoff. This drove me absolutely nuts.

I know what I suggested isn't a solution to your problem, but I thought I would offer it just the same.

I agree with you. I don't control base running so I couldn't help you out per se, but I was stunned by the crap comments from a lot of guys. Too bad some people think they're better than others when we know they're not. Some of us around here aren't all bad... i.e. David

Some people really need to get a sense of humour and learn what a smilie indicates.

Some people need to learn that sticking a smiley face on the end of a comment does not suddenly give you carte blanche to act like a jerk.

It was a joke, get over it. And it's exactly what smilies are for, to show that you're joking since it's impossible to show real emotions when typing.

Joking or not, it doesn't help the person solve their problem. Not everyone on these boards has been here for years and is used to blocking out the "noise" to find their answer. It can be frustrating to new members to ask a question and have to weed through joke responses to get their answer, and even tougher to figure who's being sarcastic and who's being serious, smiley face or not.

Explain what's wrong with posts 3 or 5? I answered your question and even used a picture. What else do you want?

Geez maybe I should retire from helping people.
