Luckiest Start to season ever?
![]() Starters (stats from last season): Alcantara: 10-10 4.10 ERA Maldonado: 7-3 3.33 ERA (injured for 2 months) Tiajuan Walker: 9-4 3.11 ERA (signed as FA to fill in for Maldonado) Shane 8-10 5.20 ERA Merritt 10-9 4.19 ERA Batters (stats from last season): Cox: Rookie, .246/10/35 in AAA Suarez: .266/25/81 Freemon: .275/18/58 Solis: .271/16/45 Bianco: .219/32/94 Rios: .275/3/14 (only played 37 games) Aguirre: .272/16/44 Olt: .251/15/40 We missed playoffs last season, and come out 16-1 with almost every player overperforming by a large margin. Anyone else have a similar start WITHOUT signing a starting FA player and missing playoffs in previous season? Last edited by pucku33; 03-02-2014 at 11:00 PM. |

Is that the dolphins logo that comes with the game...
There is like a million beautiful custom Jerseys with logos in the mods section. That's baffling to me and probably shouldn't bother me haha. But on topic... Historically I trend to crash and burn after beautiful starts like this. However I'll knock on wood as I just got off to my best start ever in my fictional. |

Never been "quick starter". Traditionally spurts come mid-season, where it's usual to have 10+ game winning streak. Once had 5 game shootout streak. But start... well, almost every year it's like 10-8, 12-6 and so on, depending on how much injuries I have early in a season and in ST.
No, never had something like this, even WITH big FA signings )

27-20
We have dropped tremendously since I posted this. Bianco and Suarez are both under .200 and Casey Shane gave up 7 runs in consecutive starts and has an ERA over 4.
