Noob question - where is DB for 2013 season
I decided to preorder OOTP 15 and wanted to play with OOTP 14 this month while I wait. But... I cant seem to find the just completed 2013 season anywhere. In my game historical only goes up to 2012. Im sure Im missing something fairly obvious. Please help. Thanks.

The 2013 season will come with OOTP15.

Ugh...so the way this game works is you cant replay the just completed season until the next season starts?! Ex: 2013 season ended in Nov and I cant play it until April of 2014? That cant be.
Both Diamond Mind and Action PC have had the 2013 season available for a long time. |

You can play the 2013 season, just not technically "historical".

The season that just ended would be the MLB quick start button on the splash screen. Historical is for years that have already happened.

2014 would be fictional, rosters are not set, pitchers and catchers just reported. The 2014 Opening Day rosters will ship with OOTP15.
The Cards do not play their first ST game for 5 more days.

OOTP is a different type of sports management sim, much more flexible and customizable than anything on the market. Because of the different approach the cost/value proposition of OOTP far exceeds any other game. For the cost of OOTP, I can play any 10 or 100 different MLB seasons in many different ways (season replay, development enabled, recalc, alternate history) and at any time and manner I want. To play 10 different MLB seasons as replays only in Action PC Baseball would cost $200. To run all MLB seasons it would cost $1100. This is not a criticism of these other fine games. I hear they are very good. It's unfair IMO to express disappointment in OOTP about the 2013 season data but forget to mention the cost of obtaining that data from other developers.
