7 shutouts in a row!
Never seen this before. My 2024 Padres just hurled 7 consecutive shutouts as part of a 10-game winning streak.

And 10 of their last 12 wins. Impressive.

Over a 17 game span, there was 12 shutouts (10 wins & 2 losses). Wow! That's a lot of shutouts.

The 5-0 win on the 13th was a CG by my 3rd starter Bob Jackson. 3 hits, 1 BB, 8 K. Improved to 9-7 on the season and bumped his ERA down to 3.17. Jackson is a former 30th round pick by the Blue Jays that I picked up as a throw in player a few years ago in a trade.
The 6-0 win on the 16th was a CG by my ace Dave Key. 4 hits, no walks, 9 K. Improved to 18-2 and lowered his ERA to 1.98 (!). This guy is the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner and is easily on pace to get it again this year. He's a former 3rd round pick and I got him by trading away Arodys Vizcaino when he still had serious value. The 7-0 win on the 18th was a CG 1-hitter by my 5th starter Teo Ottenhof. No walks and 7 K. He was not having a fantastic year and improved to 5-11 and a 4.86 ERA. He's a guy that had been tossed through several organizations (Red Sox, Indians, Angels) and provided little to no value. I thought I'd take a chance on him last year and so I put in a claim when he was on the waiver wire. He had some spots of brilliance this year for me in between iffy pitching (he had another 1-hitter in June). The 7-0 win on the 21st was another CG by Dave Key. 3 hits, 1 walk, 14 (!) strikeouts. My pitching this year was fairly stacked. I ended up with a 3.35 team ERA (the league average was 4.04). I also added 3 more shutouts in that month of August after I took the screenshot, which was staggering. |

I had a pitcher have 4 (I think it was 4, may have been more) complete game shutouts with one perfect game thrown in to start a season. It was one of the best pitching performances I have seen.
