I wonder how this is coded in. Would it be that if rain is determined and the temperature is below 32º, (or 0º for our Canadians/Europeans/everywhere else that's not America), it turns into snow?

The Indians have had whole series snowed out in April. They had to move that one series to Miller Park (I think) several year ago.
My online league team is in Duluth. I get a lot of snow in April in game.

But wouldn't it theoritically melt as soon as it was in the 33°+ range in the atmosphere? |

My point was that atmospheric temperatures are often lower than reported weather temperatures. Snow may melt but the conditions under which it falls are not rigid. Snow squalls are often local, in the case of the Blue Jays 1977 opener it was not snowing 20k away from Exhibition Stadium.

-2 was probably with the windchill (or maybe it was Pearson Airport (was it called pearson then) vs by the lake)

Cleveland several years ago has a snowed out series the 1st week in April. The way things have been going so far we might have snow in June. Watching The Day After Tomorrow on USA right now.

I know for a FACT it's snowed here while the outside air temperature was reported to be in the 40s. It didn't STICK, but it was definitely snowing.
