PCL Realignment

I'm running my real-time league and am currently trying to make real-life historical changes. One of these is the realignment in the PCL. I made the changes in the "Edit League Structure", but there's one thing I don't like. The history is messed up. It shows the standings from the past season according to how the new divisions look instead of how the divisions were aligned last season. The history has the correct playoff teams and champion, but it also has the finishing place and games back wrong. For instance, Memphis won the championship, but the history shows they finished 3rd in their division and were 17 games back.

Any suggestions on how to do this where the history is more accurate. I'm thinking the way I did it is the only way. I question how this would be possible to do correctly if the Majors realigned.

Would waiting till the preseason begins maybe avoid the problem? I might try to experiment that.

Try in January but preseason would work also.

I always do it first day of the preseason. No bugs there.
