Draft, Trading + Free Agency Rules Question

Hi All,

I've long been a player of sports management games, and i'm just getting into baseball (thru my gf), but before I start my first real OOTP game, I have a few questons... I want to play with rules as close as possible to what they are in real life, so, can you tell me where i'm going right or wrong with the following please:

- The only Drafts are in the MLB (entry draft and rule 5 draft).

- While possible in the game, Trading between leagues - i.e. a team in Mexico trading players with a team in Japan - doesn't happen irl. (so the 'Trades with other major leagues' box goes unchecked)

- However, free agents are free agents, and can sign wherever they like... (This would mean the 'Allow free agents from other leagues' and 'Allow free Agents to leave league' boxes being checked).

Finally, i'm playing with all the default OOTP 14 leagues, plus the Chinese and German leagues that I created myself, but as far as I know they're as factually correct as I can get them.

I had for a long time that no EBL players could leave the league but they could accept FA from any league. I have 5 ML's. *** does not trade with anyone, neither does the TBL or EBL. I keep trading with other leagues off in my EBL so I dont have to reverse as many trades. *** FA's can leave currently after 10 years. This offseason I need to change it to 7.
Eriqjaffe has some great German & Chinese league uniforms. Do an advanced search and you should be able to find them easily.

So I bought the game ootp 14 a couple days ago and i don't think mine came with a trade initiation screen I have clicked on every damn button the game has and right clicked left clicked you name it but I have not been able to find that screen or anything resembling a transaction

the only thing i can do when i right click and scroll to where it says transaction is to release a player.

I can also set my players if I want them on the block or untouchable but I can't run it to see if any of the teams want to make a offer on my player.

I can't even manually propose a trade for a player i like.

what gives?

Under GM Menu what do you control? Put yourself in Commish mode and see what happens when you right click on a players profile.

It sounds like your manager options are set to the AI or you are in commissioner mode but not acting as the GM for that team.

Check the right side of the manager options screen and make sure you are in control of the roster decisions you want to be.
Check the Manager list and make sure you are the manager of the correct team.

yep everything is right but still no luck in finding that initiate a trade page

Download and install the last file hit prtscrn and it will save it for you then post in attachments. i save it to a custom folder that I can get access to quickly, i have no clue what the default folder is. You can also do a prtscn and then ctrl-v into several other paint liek programs you might already have,
