How can I delete team/league history yet keep player stats?
What I am trying to do is start at 1901
but I don't want to scroll through empty league champions and I do not want Matt Kilroy as the season K leader. Is there a way I can erase season records but keep career stats

Backup the league before doing anything. Then go to league Setup and click EXport Stats. This will send all your players' stats to .csv or text files in your import/export folder of your saved game. Delete the league history then click Import Stats and hopefully that should work. I have never tried this before so I am just guessing that this is how it would work. It seems fairly straightforward. But if it doesn't work, you can always CTRL-ALT-DELETE out of the game or re-import the game using the backup.

If after you export, if you go into the saved games folder, find your game's name folder, and in import-export, you can also edit stats before you pull them up. I do this for a 1901 ml start by making the pitchers stats a bit more "modernized" before updating. You have lots of options after the export. |

Thanks guys!
So, I can go in there and export, then change the season records? That would be fantastic

Well the league history is good but if I delete stats, it hurts the career leaderboard as well.
that stinks Wish we could delete just single season records with a button click

1 again you have to export the stats 2 delete league history, all history and stats will be gone 3 import stats, only player stats will be back, Leaderboards will be back too- no other history will be there. you will lose playoff stats though if you were doing this after first year of a league |

I did that Sprague, and when I did it was great on the team history, so thank you for that but the issue I still had was
Cy Young has 45 career wins, since his teams are now gone, but Kid Nichols still has his 301 wins All active players single season records are still there, so Billy Hamilton has many records I was hoping I could start anew since most single season record books have the old school records and the 20th century single season records, yet we still discuss career records for all of baseball's history. I don't think it's possible unless I concede the fact that many 19th century players will be inaccurate with career records.

yes on the player stat line, say for 1890, i think the second number is a team number. If the player has a 0 for that number, or a number of a team not existing, his stats wont appear in leader boards. you would have to manually change that number to one of a teams still existing in your league. At least the stats are not lost that way. That caught me a few times in the past till i figured out the team code number thing. Its easy to miss. |

Good news is OOTP 15 will have many fixes to workarounds I have (like an Excel sheet for retired uniforms/one hitters) so maybe I can bug Markus for a one click button to reset single season records
