Sad interaction between automatic expansions, foreign player limits, and dumbness

It would have been nice to have the game potentially give the user the message: "Hey, dummy, you now have your first foreign team in your league and so you might want to reconsider your Foreign Player Limit. You might have unanticipated problems unless you change this setting!"

I created my current league to start in 1905 and set for historical expansion (of MLB teams). I also set foreign player limit to be team based and did so for every league level. Hey, it was 1905 why care about foreign teams?

Just recently (after 2+ years in real time with this league) I came to the expansion involving the Expos. I didn't pay any attention to yet another expansion, but when Spring Training rolled around OOTP was not happy at all with the too-small Expo roster. So far as I can tell, the foreign player limit (based on team nationality) didn't allow the Expos to get many players in the expansion draft or in the regular draft. They had Canadians and a small number of "foreign" players (including those from the US). But this was far too small to field a team. Now I need to manually fix the dumb thing I did (not changing the type of foreign player limit).
