Is it possible to have a season where the owner can't interfere with the salary? i did uncheck the option in league setup during the offseason of my league but am trying to allow a spending spree ala the new york yankees.

you can go and increase your budget in commissioner mode. i regularly go and reduce when the owner gives me more money... (he has now started going down, and am getting a salary crunch :-( )
