TBCB2013 on Android

Hi Guys,

I have just released TB2013 on Android. Its the same build as the current iPad version (1.2.6). I have a few more changes and v1.3 will be ready...

If you have an Android tablet check it out:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...k.co.pisd.tbcb

If you do download it please rate and review it....

As an iPhone and kindle owner I am very much on the outside of the window with my nose pressed up against the glass when it comes to mobile versions of TBCB. I'd like to buy but......

You know I'd be on this in a second but it's just not practical for me until it saves the game state after each round.

However, my disappointment is much mitigated by the fact that while the Android version was unavailable the PC version went on sale. I'm playing it on the PC and it's a very fine simulation. And the price is unbeatable even at the full price.

IIRC the kindle is Android but uses the Amazon store right? I have been looking at the amazon store and I think this might be achievable. I will research it further.

In theory this is possible...

As of v1.2.5 the game scans for pictures on startup. Before that, the picture was looked for at the time it was required which caused a delay going to fighters profiles on handheld devices. So if you copy new pictures into the data folder and restart the app (double click button on iPad to quit app) it will pick up the new picture when you re-start.

The elephant in the room here is how you copy the files onto the device in the first place. I use the dev tools, and even then I am not sure if its possible for other apps on iOS. Android is much easier, their a lots of tools including the official adb tool... (adb push, adb sync or adb shell)

Bottom line, if you can find a way to copy the files into the data folder the app will use them... If you figure it out please PM me and I will add it to the manual...

Correct Paul, the Kindle uses Android but Amazon have customised it in such a way that you can only access the Amazon Store to buy your apps. You cannot access Google Play unless you root and hack your Kindle which invalidates your warranty straight away.

For what it's worth I would definitely buy it if I could.

I bought this and put it on my wife's Nexus 7...app installs fine, I get a window that says it's downloading data, and an error that says try later. What's up?
