Make the game crash less

Many times I've been playing and the game will crash, losing any unsaved data. Also one league wouldn't go past January 1, so I had to stop playing it. The game is great (mostly) but if all my good leagues don't work, it's super disappointing. That's why I haven't played it since August. So PLEASE fix this.

Also, it seems kind of hard to join a online league because you have to download/upload the game often. I have seen many dynasty games that are connected to the internet so you can see real- time moves and the game will update itself automatically. If this possible to add to next year's version?

I know this is most likely impossible, but what if players had different attributes that affect team chemistry, so you could build a that works well together? (like the Red Sox.)That would put this game over the top.

Finally, I know this has been said, but the articles should be better. It would be awesome if writers had personality (and opinions).

That said, this game is the the best on the market. Still at least the first and last should be in a game that costs $40.

If every league is crashing then it is not a bug in the system, probably set something up wrong. I have played thousands of games and only had the game crash once. I did not backup so I lost a bit but I've learned to backup my games.

That being said, I've never had OOTP 14 crash on me in hundreds and hundreds of hours of playing. I suspect there may be something going on with your system or settings as OOTP14 is generally super stable.

You may want to post specific information on the crashes in the bug reports thread and also upload the leagues that are crashing so that they can be checked out.

This version has been very stable. In my experience crashes are a function of league size, complexity, user options (stats box scores logs etc), save frequency and computer maintenance such as updated drivers, windows updates and sufficient hard disk free space. The relatively low reportage of consistent crashes clearly indicates that computer issues as described above are the first place to look.

Has the OP installed the latest stable patch? Hint it may not be the latest patch. Some crashes were reported this year (last year now) in the patch threads.

Something as simple as leaving a league loaded but not saved or a power blip on a desktop system can result in a corrupted file which may cause a crash.
