simple online league?

I am new to OOTP and trying to set up a simple online league for my Dad and I. I don't have a website to export the files to, etc. etc. Is there a way where I can just save the game file, share it with my Dad via DropBox or other large file distribution system and proceed that way? Each time I try to set up a league and export the game file, it fails as I have not set up website information in the automator.

Is it as simple as creating a two-human manager league and treating it as a "non-online league" (i.e., as if we were playing on the same computer "hot-seat" style)?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I think all you have to do is copy your league file from your saved games folder and then have your dad overwrite his with it. Then when he gets done making his changes he saves the game and sends his league file back to you. You run the sims for the week (or however long you want to run them) and then rinse/repeat.

What exactly is it, that you share with the other managers. The whole folder, that they overwrite when done the changes or just the "rar file"?

I'm new to online leagues. I dont know exactly how they work.
Do you do the changes first and then save, send to Buddy,parent,whatever.
And then it repeats itself yeah?
