Team Focus setting?
Ok, I have wondered about this setting for awhile now...what does the setting for "Team Focus" in Front Office Finances section do? I understand the meaning...just don't understand how me changing from "Win Now", "Neutral" or "Rebuilding" affects the game. Thanks for any info!

I think it may have to do with the nature of players that are offered in trades, such as if you choose rebuild, teams will offer more minor leaguers, and if you choose win now, they will offer more veterans. I am not sure if it affects players' moods, but I have had a player tell me that he did not want to be part of a rebuilding project.

The amount of money that you have for the draft increases as you move down the spectrum.
Win now--least amount of money Rebuild--most amount of money I have often wondered if there is also an impact to attendance. It's hard to judge because when you are winning you are going to have higher attendance anyways and vice versa.

I still have my team in "Rebuild" mode in year two, but that doesn't stop my delusional, idiot owner from expecting to: "Win the Championship Now!". I suppose it doesn't help that in year one I won in a one game playoff, fell behind 3 games to 1 in the World Series, and came back to win it all. But this team is nowhere near where I'd want to get it before going for it all again, and we sit 9 and a half games out about a month and a half into season two. Any day now the delusional idiot owner will pass away from a coronary due to his daily hissy fits with the ups and downs of the team. Ride the waves dude! Chill!
EDIT: Sorry...Just had to vent.

QFT!
I personally take the view that my owner is insane. He keeps expecting me to win each year with less and less budget. Which is even more fun with league evolution giving players Arb eligible after 1 1/2 years of service and the Super2 guys now going to arb after the first full year. There is nothing like having a rookie average pitcher posting a career year and asking for 3.5 to 5 mil the first year. ![]() 24 man rosters, eased by no more refusal of assignment. A small but loyal fanbase, I love this game!
