League Classifications

I thought it would be cool if the game allowed for different minor league classifications options, like Independent, B, C, D, E, F, A Advance, A1, etc. For example, I'd like to have A, B, C and D leagues in 1903. As it stands I have to imagine that they are actually those classifications.

OOTP's minor league levels in general need to be improved upon. In-game distinction between Lo-A and Hi-A is definitely on there. I don't play historicals, so I cannot speak to their accuracy, unfortunately.

These are the same as the ones they have in now, just different wording

For 1901

Independent is about the same modifiers as AAA (PCL)
American Association, Southern Association,Eastern League, Western League and International league are about AA level
Texas League is Short A level (maybe an ex majorleaguer will hit 8 HR in a game *cough*Nig Clarke

Now when you start a 1901 game, fictional players will be generated, which I personally like...make sure the PCL is independent and cannot trade back and forth with MLB and for the other leagues AA fictional players will very rarely make it to MLB

I also like to affiliate all leagues except the PCL with MLB, as making them independent is a pain in the butt with guys on reserve rosters in MLB maybe never getting a stat to their name and fictional players getting generated for the independent minors

Down the road
American Association and International League become AAA, so that older players will hang on longer

Southern Association and Texas League become AA

Eastern and Western drop to A

I use Spritze's DB, where guys come in around 16-17-18 regardless of age of debut, so this works with development as long as you drop their actual ratings far from their potential and import using neutralized stats

Just a workaround you might find helpful if this isn't implemented

This really should be a simple implementation, too, since it doesn't require a re-working of the game engine at all.
