interleague play
I have a league with two sub leagues 3 divisions in each sub leagues. one sub league has 12 teams the other 13 it wont allow me to have interleague play. regardless if balance schedule is checked or not, anyone known why?

I think it is that the game's scheduling AI can generate a schedule with interleague play involved.

put all teams in one league, divisions don't matter, make a schedule make new subleage, move the teams you want to it, set up divisions as you want DONT make a new schedule and you now have balanced inter-league play |

I think it has to do with the odd number of teams.

i have never had a problem with this. odd or even number
and automatically renews every year you made the schedule while only 1 subleague exists then made the new subleague, moved the teams and didn't touch the sched |

You know what well I'm not using interleague play but the last 3 seasons my league only played 138 games but I have it set for 154. 2 sub leagues 13 teams each. Why?

hey padre
am going to do a test for you right now i think you said you have one league w 12 and the other with 13 right. maybe the issue is the 25 teams. i have never used uneven teams overall i may have had 9 in one 9 in the other, but never like 9 and 10 will post what happens in an hour or so... |

actually just tested it, worked fine....
tried 11 and 12 teams team would play 22 3 game slots with a 3-game slot of no games ps. you aren't setting the schedule while in subleagues? the subleagues have to go to set the schedule. you only bring back the two subleagues once you have the sched set Last edited by sprague; 12-08-2013 at 06:05 PM. |

Ok so I actually have 13 teams in each sub league and it did not allow me to play interleague.
So I set it unbalanced? With 3 game series? For how many games? Currently I have 154 game schedule but they only play 138

You have to follow the steps exactly
first forget about the interleague play checkbox. you don't need it 1 get rid of the 2 leagues. make 1 league. 2 divisions. move all the teams from one league to one division. add first league team to its own division. if you have 25 teams a 12 and 13, if 26 13 and 13. delete all extra divisions and the subleague with no teams in it. 2 make a balanced schedule. you can test on a team's schedule or the schedule test that the right number of games say 154 is for all teams. it should be 3 bring back the second league. set up divisions how you want. move the teams to whatever division in whatever league you want 4 don't make a schedule 5 don't check the interleague box it should now run as a balanced sched like this year after year |

At the risk of hijacking, as long as we're on schedules, this was on my mind over the weekend so wanted to get a bit of feedback. Does the game, with its default scheduler, even approximate adequate interleague schedules? In addition, does it appear that its handling of unbalanced schedules could also be improved? Lastly, to the best of my recollection, it still will not accommodate interleague play with unbalanced schedules. I would like to say I've looked at this thoroughly myself before inquiring, but I haven't. I am asking purely to gain info on how those of you who are actually involved find the game's built-in process. Thanks in advance.

This is frustrating so I went with 28 teams 14 on each sub league rather than 26 with 13 and 13 and went from 154 games to 162 and it will won't Allow to play interleague
