Maelstrom Opportunity - Newbies welcome - Invitation only ;)

Here's your chance. The Maelstrom is planning expansion for our 2006 season. This will be in around 3 months. In addition, we have to do a little housecleaning with a couple of our current owners. We should have 2 current openings and 2 more when we expand.

Most of you probably already know about our league, so I won't spend too much time going over that.

What we are looking for is someone who has the time to manage the club. The Maelstrom isn't the type of league where you just send in a lineup and your job is done. We expect our owners to be active, rewarding article writing and participation.

This could be the perfect opportunity for someone who is just starting out and isn't in too many other leagues as long as they are committed. We welcome those of you who aren't in ANY leagues.

I will caution you NOT to apply if your life is busy right now or will be in the near future. As I've said, we will keep you somewhat busy, but I assure you that the time and effort you invest will be well worth it.

These openings will probably not be available for long, so don't hesitate to email me (management@baseballmaelstrom.com) regarding this opportunity. Let us know why we should select you - an email that says "I'm interested" and that's it won't get you very far.

After a short application period, we will make our selections. Those who are not selected will be placed on our waiting list (which is kept short - quality over quantity is our motto).

I do believe this is the kind of thing they said to avoid. I would suggest emailing them with short application and see where it goes from there.

Guys, this is an excellent league with awesome commishes and my personal favorite league.

This is a wonderful league. This league would be a great for any newbie to start. We have two commishes who are more then helpful with any problems you could have.

I just love the people who want to be in a league, and after the first post about the league specifically says "send an email to yaddayadda@yadda.com", they write "I'm interested, hit me up at doofus@me.com yO!"

Anyways, yeah, it's a good league, and that's a given. Many of you have heard about it before. Definately a good league to get started in, and a very good league for an OOTP vet.
