creating a custom roster

I know it's probably already posted somewhere but i can't find anything regarding this. What i would like to do is take some of the legends like babe ruth etc.. and play with them on a modern roster for a team. Also i would love to know how to create a custom roster with past players like an all-time tigers roster.

New to OOTP but loving it so far!!

from the initial screen select quickstart game, load All-Time Greats . this is a league with 30 teams and it has their all time rosters already made out with 15 man reserve squads. Every team is a collection of the greatest players to play for their franchise. There is also a league called Seamheads Laundry league, which starts with a Fantasy Draft of the 1,200 greatest players of all time.

You can also import any player in the database from the free agent screen, at the bottom you have "Import Historical Player(s). You must be in commish mode to import players

You can also import any team from the past. You could create a league with the 27 Yankees, 84 Tigers, 75 Reds, 54 Indians, etc etc etc.

This is done in Edit League Structure. In here, you can add and delete teams from your league. Also must be done in Commish Mode.

Beware, anytime you edit the league structure, be sure to create a new schedule.

Hey all Im new to this sim. I bought the game last night. I too would like to import the greats into the modern players to see how they match up. I saw the import feature but it asks for me to open the database file. I didnt see the file. Which is it?

You can add historical players(commish mode,search,mode). Just type their names in the search mode,then with the editor send them too any team you like. Also,adjust their ages so they will perform to their capacities.

Why would you have him do it like that? He wants to import players, maybe he is playing a fictional league and doesn't have the full database of players? Even if he is that is not how you import players. This would have dual stats for players like Babe ruth unless he was to clone him and clones never do what the original can do.

Mclovin, When you click on Import Historical Players it will open up a box. Navigate your way to your OOTP 14 Stats folder and select either historical database.odb or Master .cvs if you are using a Spritze or Gambo DB use Master.cvs. then do the rest of your options.
