Moving Team to a different LEAGUE (not sub-league)

I had an idea buzzing around my head for a new fictional world, but it requires what later versions of OOTP call asscotiations. Since I run OOTP8 because of system requirements (no, its not just that it's free), asscotiations are not possible.

What I wanted to do, is at the end of every season, move all the league champions to this one league to hold a tournament. I could do this without moving them, but it simplifies things if I could.

So, is it possible?

I don't remember seeing it in league structure, is that where I can find it?

you can do it in the league structure. go to each league and change what league the team is in. save before you do it though, i think i moved a couple teams around in 10, 11, or 12 (i forget which) and there was some weirdness that happened.

I'm wondering which is the best way to work around associations. I have 52 leagues of 6 teams each, each league with one champion. All of the champions take part in a tournament over the course of a month and a half.

So, should I move the champions to a separate league (say, Champions League), and hold the tournament there, or should I hold the tournament with each team in their respective leagues? Will moving the teams mess up the history?

i guess you could create a new league with no teams in it, and build a schedule with the teams in question. you wouldnt have to move the teams, but i dont know how the league history would play out.

Heh, maybe I'll try that. The reason I would move the teams is so that each player and team would have their own seperate stats and records for the champions league. I guess the only way to find the best way is to try every way.
