Game Restore Issue: Is This A Problem, Or Is It By Design?

I have a league running called "Baseball League", and I got the idea to experiment with something which, if it works, I will use as my league going forward, but if it doesn't, I still have my original league "frozen in time" that I can go back to.

So, I backed up "Baseball league", and immediately restored it to a new folder called "Baseball League Experiment", which I thought would get me an exact replica of my League. It didn't. It did not, for instance, restore any of the custom logos or uniforms I uploaded, instead creating new ones from scratch; and none of the CSV or stats files I downloaded came down with it. Those are the only differences I noted, perhaps there are more.

Is this supposed to happen like that, that it's sort of the same but not exactly? if so, what's the purpose of doing it that way?

I have restore my league twice since I started it 1999-2016 and have not had that issue. only time I did not have uniforms was when i created a new folder in my saved games folder called it whatever.lg and pasted just the .DAT files into it. Only issue I have had after my last restore in 2013 was that my game won't use logos as caps and uniforms anymore.

See my response in the other thread about backups/QS's.

In this instance, you should have made a QS from your league. All your images/logos, etc would have been saved with it.

OK, so, for my purposes, saving my game in progress as a quick-start is not necessary, although I could do it if I wanted to and have it serve as a backup. Thanks.
