why are personnel deleted and not released?

Giving OOTP another shot, but there is a snag.

The option to release personnel doesn't seem to work. After releasing personnel the same 434 personnel that appear as free agents in the MLB quickstart are still there. The personnel that have been released are completely gone, deleted instead of released.

Why are personnel released with the release all personnel option deleted and not dumped into free agent personnel?

hmmm.. Im no expert, but I've never experienced this. I only play fictional leagues so maybe its something to do with the quickstart?

three weird things

That's what I'm starting to think. There are three weird things I've noticed. First when you release all coaches, they are deleted not made "free agents."

Second, although coaches are signed to teams it says they are free agents in their profile.

Finally, there doesn't seem to be any way to fire these guys. Although, I do have ot look further into commissioner mode before I can state this as a fact.

poblem solved

OK, the old manual firing trick worked but it seems you can't use it on minor league teams anymore. I thought in the past you could select a league and act as any minor league affiliate. I would like to clean out the entire organization, but I'll live with just the major league level.

Has anybody figured this out yet?
