Be able to move a % of a players salaries, and injured players in trades

My suggestion for the next version is to have the feature to be able to pay for a players salary in a trade and have it effect the quality of players you receive. Such as when rebuilding teams with payroll space take on money in a veterans contract to get more prospects from contending teams.

It would also be nice to finally be able to trade for injured players in single player mode. A downside to this would be if we had to wait a day for the league to approve.

This can happen now. See some recent threads. It's not yet evolved to be as sophisticated as your idea. Many of us want a reworked trade module.

The issue I see with trading injured players is that it would be incredibly difficult to get the AI to value them correctly. There could be a potential exploit where you've got a four-star pitcher who's just gone down for Tommy John surgery (and, as always, has the possibility of coming back as crap), that the AI jumps at the opportunity of acquiring.

So, you say, just devalue the AI's judgment of injured players, right? But then you run the risk of devaluing it TOO much, where the AI doesn't see the point in trading for that same 4-star pitcher who's down for a week with elbow soreness. There would need to be a gradient where the AI takes into account the severity of the injury in its evaluation. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but I feel like it would be hard to be done properly.

Degrade it as a percentage of the season lost, based on calendar days? So that weeklong injury isn't a big deal, but losing a year (or more) is huge.

But then you get into the issue of how defining a player who's almost ready to return from a long injury. A guy who is two weeks away from coming back from Tommy John surgery is still a huge risk. A guy who is two weeks away from coming back from a broken arm is much less risky. And what about a guy who was out for 6 months with a broken arm? Not as significant as a muscle injury would be. You'd have to code the AI to understand the difference between injuries as well as the difference between length of injuries.

I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see this, just that it would likely be a difficult thing to code, and there are other things that I would like to see the dev team focus on first.

On a related note, if you release a player with multiple years left on his contract, those salaries should be spread out over the remaining years, not lumped in immediately.
