The kids can play?

I just noticed this when looking at the free agents in my European Universe...there's another page full of players up to age 11, and then they jump to age 18. After poking around, I found a lot of players ages 11 and under. The really curious thing is that they are all from England, so maybe OOTP seems to have generated some strange Dickensian child labor pool.

Is there any way of bulk editing the players to be all 20something? I know I can export each league's rosters, edit and reimport, but that's kind of a pain. I'd love to just be able to export all the players in the game, can I do that somewhere?

Ultimately, I'm wondering how this happened in the first place.

This thread, this situation, is disturbing in a number of ways.

Sorry I can't contribute an answer. You already mentioned the method to edit players in batch mode that I know about. Why don't you just mass delete these babes instead?

Just export the rosters and open them in Excel. All available free agents are listed below the rosters. Highlight all the FAs and sort by age, edit the young ones, save as CSV and re-import.

Thanks - I didn't realize that all the FAs are included, so that will make things easier.

I realize I'm bumping something of an old thread, but I just today noticed that not only is England generating toddlers, but it's also generating players of extremely abnormal height.

Just wait until Sedman hits his growth spurt!

side effects. of course you never hear about these, since they don't end up having productive baseball career.

Make that mass-retire. Let the game auto-delete them.

the 7 and 8 footers hopefully will retire to play in teh NBA after they graduate from grade school, Is 0'4"" even possible in real life? How tall was Vern Troyer when he was 9. i have no clue what is causing it but would like to know in case it ever happens to me.
Eddie Gaedell hit .350 one year in my ABF league had 150 BB 9 K.

I could swear I saw an option in the game somewhere that you can put an age limit as to how young a player can be in the game .... I just don't remember where to look or if it was this version or not ... sorry for not being some help but again I think its in the options and just don't remember where I seen it before

Yeah, I know where that is - I was comparing the English league to the other leagues in the universe to see if I had done something stupid - the min and max age is set to 0, same as the other leagues, which should use the default range.

A 15:1 BB/K ratio is something I would shrink myself in real life for. I don't even care what kind of black magic satan pact that involves.

Gaedell is kinda cheating because he was little person. Who's the closest otherwise, and modern era? Where'd Dave Hansen end up

sorry, i don't understand how it's cheating? MLB does not have any height requirements in it's rules, and if it did, where would you put it to avoid court challenges?

because he was not a baseball player, and had never played baseball, and the whole hiring was a publicity stunt, not because MLB discriminates overtly against dwarfism nor has height requirement.

nowhere was is it stated that having a short person was cheating.

Do you want to make your own thread about what rules or cheating or "kinda cheating" are?

DeShields was an Expo you know.
