Schedule question
I started a MAL league over the weekend (basically the same as the MLB quickstart, just fictional players). I've never actually finished a season using the MLB quickstart so I'm curious to know whether or not the schedule changes from season to season? Will my team face a different set of interleague opponents? Can't believe I've had this game for this long and have to ask this.

Tons of people play the quickstart and no one knows?

I have NEVER played the MLB quickstart, but if the schedule doesn't change on it's own, you can also import a new one yourself......just check it on the first day of the new pre-season......

AFAIK the game shuffles the assigned team number. So the schedule has say 12 v 6 and 9 v 4 on a certain day. Each year that will be a different matchup. Not sure how that works for interleague though. If it's a current MLB setup you could use GMO's excellent set of 30 schedules.

I am in the latter part of my 2nd season with MLB quickstart. I am playing the same teams in interleague matchups. However, I do believe that the home/away has switched from last season.

Well that would make sense. I guess I have another whole season to play before I find out. Or I could just set up a test league and sim for the answer. I just figured someone on here could tell me right away.

The opponents will be scrambled in the same way, however the same divisions will be playing each other every season, and of course the main rivalry games may not be against the 'proper' opponents as compared to real life. |

Thanks LGO. The GMO schedules accomplish both objectives. Matchups are shuffled and the interleague play goes through a logical progression from division to division.
For me the rivalry issue in a fictional league is less of an issue. The big teams don't dominate as much.
