Computer Controlled Teams not Promoting Minor Leaugers

Hi, I have a problem. I have noticed for several game seasons that AI teams were not promoting minor league players to the majors, even ones who were clearly ready (several minor league teams have multiple 3+ star players playing in triple A. This made it very easy to stack your team though the rule 5 draft, and has finally resulted in several AI teams not having enough players on their active roster to continue. I feel this has ruing the integrity of the game, and I am kind of bummed because i just won my first world series, albeit in fairly compromised conditions. I was getting very attached to my players, but I feel I must abandon this file, due to the complete lack of realism. It's just not realistic for a major league team to have only 9 players on it's active roster while it's triple a team is loaded with 28 year old 4 star players with no MLB exp.

At this point I feel that too much damage has been done to make this file savable, but if I wanted to attempt to continue it is there anything I could doto make the AI teams function correctly? I know my delay in addressing this issue has caused irreparible damage to the realism of the leauge, but I really like my players, and at least want to play out their careers if possible.

Sounds like the AI is not in control.

They do seem to sign free agents, and draft players in the amateur and rule 5 drafts. As far as I can tell everything but promoting players is continuing as normal.

Check the Managers Option page, promotions demotions are a separate item.

Check to see if you have "Do not allow fictional Players to reach Majors".

This is exactly what the issue was. I unchecked that one box, simmed ahead a week of the preseason, then checked the teams rosters. suddenly all major league rosters were full, and teams were actually playing youngsters. I can only assume that in my extreme newbness I thought fictional players meant ghost players during my initial league setup.

On the other hand, owing the the severe inconsistencies my newb mistake caused i have instead opted to start a new Portland Rapids franchise. I will miss my magnificent double play combo, but I think a new file will be more satisfying, after I get a couple years into it, after getting some new players to get attached to.

Resit in Digital Peace Burbidge, Stanford, Capano, Estrada, Emery, Ashley, Shirley, Constable, and Hernandez (David Hernandez is a real player, the rest were game created.)
