Where Did The World Series Go?

This is a bit odd. I noticed in my League History Screen in my Modern MLB League that the 2018 World Series winner was not indicated in bold. In fact, the team that lost in the ALCS was shown, but not bolded. The "Champions" screen labels my team (Red Sox, won the 2018 World Series) as the 2018 "League Championship Series Champions". I went into League Settings, and I think I see the problem...

So, where did the World Series go? Has this happened to anyone else?

To me i see that you no longer have custom playoffs with 2 wildcards. So when it dropped a round it dropped the WS vs the 1st wildcard round.

Ok, the problem is that I changed absolutely nothing about the playoff structure of this league when I went from 2018 into 2019. A World Series was actually played in 2018. I converted from OOTP13 to OOTP14 before 2018, so the problem didn't happen then. Somehow, my World Series went away between 2018 and 2019.

I mean, I guess a quick workaround for 2019 would be to turn the Wildcard Playoff into the Divisional Series, the Div into the LCS, and the LCS into the World Series. Those fields seem editable in-season in 2019. How do I prevent this from happening again in 2020, though?

Not sure how to prevent it. Did your alignment change which may have led to the 2nd wildcard not being there? Otherwise it should not change unless your playoff format changes again.

Looks like it's not just me, although this user only reported the symptom, he may be having the same underlying problem.

The problem, and one that I believe may be a bug is that in the history section it does not show who won the WS in bold --- it only shows the Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks the two AL/NLDS winners; but on the next tab over it correctly reflects the Washington Nationals as the WS Champions, any advice on how to correct his?"

No change in league alignment. I do have League Evolution enabled, but there was no message/story about this change, and I can't imagine it would only impact the previous season's history incorrectly.

I had it happen to me once as well but when I clicked or checked off custom playoffs I got everything back. Should help restore playoffs.

I had to go in and manually re-create the real world playoffs, but this did help. My League History screen is still screwed up, though.

I would have received a message if League Evolution had been the culprit here, right? I don't think that was my issue here.

It should at least stick a line in the league evolution screen, so you can see if it says something about it in there. Its in the league history...somewhere, I dont remember exactly where.

No entries beyond the Astros moving to the AL West. So, it wasn't League Evolution afoot here.

My thoughts exactly. I've opened a support ticket, and manually fixed the Custom Playoffs, but the screwed up League History screen is frustrating.
