I want my money back

$46 for this program!!! Do not buy if you have the choice.

If you are a company that has a PR guy go on the radio and says the program is working and ready for release then you should mean it.

If somebody knows how to get a refund let me know.

Have you downloaded the latest patch? When I did that interview, I wasn't aware of the full extent of the issues customers were experiencing.

I'm sorry you're unhappy. We have a 14-day refund period. (It begins on 9/3 for anyone who purchased the game during the Beta period.)

Thanks.

The latest patch fixes a lot of stuff. I'm in my 5th season with no crashes. RFA and UFA are working along with offering contracts. Give it a try and then if you are unhappy ask for you money back.

You can keep my money. I paid for the game so that you have proof that people want this game and to keep working on it. I'll happily pay $40+ for a great hockey sim even if I have to deal with some opening blues.

Even though I only think it's fair to be objective and understand the other side's perspective, it's only right that I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment to show my own perspective. Thanks Trendon - you said it about as concisely for me as possible.

Agreed. I can totally understand where people would be unhappy if the issues are as big as stated on here, but to me it's worth the $ to hopefully end up with an awesome hockey sim.

Tbh, I haven't played the game since the early days of the beta. I bought it the day we were able to, played it a few times, and haven't since. I am content to pay the money (discounted rate at that point) and wait for a mostly finished product.

That said, I can see where people are upset, as it is supposed to be a "mostly finished" product at release.

Now that Beta has passed, this is now the time to get your refund. I have no problem with people getting a refund after the release date actually passes and it's not as functional as they expect. This game will be great, most people can see that but it's too bad people won't wait on a first job 1 person effort.

Anyone that gets a refund though, keep this bookmarked and check back often. This game will be great

Serious? This is version 1.0

It will take a few months and probably 3 or 4 updates to get it polished.

Even Football Manager, which has been around for years and I play a lot, takes at least 3-4 months to get it polished enough to start committing real time into a serious long term franchise save.

While I believe that FHM could and should have been better from the first release day, I think that the developers are dedicated to this game and it will become a very good hockey sim in the near future.

If people can hang on for one or two more patches (I know that's asking a lot after having paid good $ for this game) I'm sure most of them will love it and forget the birthing difficulties and pain.

I understand people are frustrated, and others wish people could be more understanding lets not make a big deal everytime someone asks for a refund.

The big thing is they have shown that they are people willing to drop $40 on a hockey sim, and they aren't saying I am never buying again they just want some more functionality so maybe they'll be back in a few patches or next version.

If the backlash has taught OOTP development anything is that this game can be successful, just have to make sure the product is solid and I have no doubts it will be at that point in a few months.

Yep, people are entitled to a refund. I'd like it if refund threads were dealt with and deleted, so that it didn't appear to be a heavy issue. But if it isn't what people expected and they are unhappy I think they can get their refund.

On the other hand, pretty sure you can't refund any physical copies of games, unless that policy has changed by now. If that's the case, then people should really be appreciative that OOTP Devs even allows refunds, too.

That would be a lot more easy to do if they would do it via the "contact us" link or by email than doing it in public in an over the top way.

What if you purchased it after the game was released?

I read it to mean that the 14 day period begins at the date of purchase after release. For those that purchased prior for beta, then that 14 day period begins on the date of the actual release as opposed to purchase date.
