Does OOTP 14 have a reset/restart a league option ?

No, but if the date's not important to you, you can go to preseason, delete the league history, and release all players and conduct a fantasy draft. You may not have that kind of setup, if you're using a quickstart or such. Easier in that case, just to select the game and start over.

Thanks for the post back. How do I get back to pre-season, if the league has already started play ? |

I typically "go on vacation" and then simply sim to next year. Then come back from vacation. That is, if you currently manage a team.

If I may piggyback on this question, can I take a long running fictional league, empty it out and reset the year to say 1999?

You may have an option when you start a game that way, then go through the empty and fill with fictional, or release and draft. Been awhile since I was doing that kind of experimentation.

The other option is just save it as a Quickstart that was set in 1999, then start over *OR* back up the league frequently as a separate back up folder, then use that to copy over the saved game folder. That said, one of the most frustrating aspects of OOTP has always been not being able to undo or reset a saved game you've screwed up. |

If I sim the entire season out to the end, and get to the next year's pre-season, I can then erase the entire league history ? Doing this, will everything still be intact, ie all my teams, and league settings (ballpark, colors, uniforms, etc.) ? Then I release all the players into free agency and have a new draft ? And then can I generate a new schedule ? Is this correct, in essence ? |

One thing that definitely helps - BACKUPS! First, after I finished setting up my league, I created a quickstart so I could start over with most of my settings in place. Then anytime I got to an important point in the season, I did a backup inside the game. I then navigated to the folder where the backup lived and created a zip file from that folder, naming it "MyLeague-1950-beginpre", for example - to indicate it was made just before the start of 1950 preseason. Then if you want to go back to a specific point in the season, unzip that one folder, do a restore from OOTP and point it at that folder, and you're back in business. Keeping up with that will help you from having to redo as much if something goes wrong! Good luck! |

Now I'm just trying to fix the problem the game developed. I still can't figure out how this happened. I've never seen this kind of glitch before..... |

I think I will, because the schedule on my current damaged season, is beginning on Feb 23rd, for some reason. That is one of the main problems. The schedule and event calendar got all screwed up, which caused my league to crap out.
