Historical Draft Rounds

How many rounds should I have in my historical sim? Does this number change? For example, 1901 there were only 16 teams. In 1998, 30 teams. If I leave it at the default setting will that adjust automatically?

Minor leagues is totally off, just a reserve roster.

With only a reserve roster you probably only need a 5 or 6 round draft.

Just leave it at 30. The draft will cease when it runs out of players to be drafted. You don't want to set a number that's too low because then you could wind up cutting it off before all the players have been drafted.

Actionjackson nailed it. Be prepared, you are going to have drafts in which there are 4 full rounds and then maybe only 5 teams get players in the 5th round. Just a matter of how many player made their MLB debuts that year.
