Corrupted game files?

Having an annoying issue, which is probably mostly due to my crap computer.

Some of my games are freezing up at random points, with no warning. After the freeze, I have to force close the program. Obviously, I'd expect to lose the progress since my last save. Unfortunately, for some reason I can't even play from the last saved point, because the game freezes again as I try to load those files. Other game files are sluggish but playable.

FWIW, it always freezes at a certain part of the loading screen... "50%- Cleaning up text files".

Is there any way to check if these files are fine and my computer is being wonky or if they're now unplayable?

Also FWIW, I get a complete game download from my on-line league, but then the game will crash. I can then reload the game and it works. This has occurred both before and after the latest patch.

Is there any way I could upload certain files from one of my games and someone could check if the game is still playable from another computer?

I'd let it "Clean up text files" for a while cause it usually takes a while (at least for me) but it (usually) works.

Try doing a database purge, too. Go to Game then Database Info. Click the button in the lower right and then click Purge Database and follow the instructions. It may take a while to do this so take a break for an hour or so.
