Schedule Dates - Added League
I created a fictional league and played for 4 seasons. After that, I decided to add a Minor League. I'm now in 2017 offseason, and when I go to set up the start date for new league, it only gives me 2013/2014 as options.
Others seen this? Any fix? |

It was fixed in the latest patch, however I don't know if the fix works with existing games or not. I've tested this for others with the same issue and you can ignore the year..Just set your start date, generate a schedule and your season should play out normally for the current year. To be safe though, I'd make a copy of your saved game just in case. Please let me know if it works or not.

Am running the latest patch.
Couldn't change the date from April to May, as it would just pop up and say "Date must be in the future". I tried to delete all the game in the first half of the season (72 game season) and re-add them after. Problem with that was that I couldn't add in an ASG then, as when I went to add it manually, it had the same issue, only allowing me to pick from 2013 or 2014. Lame. Have you got a schedule for that lg.?? If you do, then you can get around it by exporting the schedule and setting the start date in the schedule and then reimport it. Just make sure you have "auto adjust date if matching xml schedule is found" checked before you reimport it. If you don't know how to do it, post the schedule here and I'll fix it. I'll need to know the start date you want, and for that minor league only, the number of subleagues, number of divisions, number of teams and your Schedule options settings so I can get the element line correct for your setup.

The league is 2 subleagues, 1 division in each subleague, 10 teams in each. 72 games, 4 games per series. Use Balance is checked. No interleague play. Leads to one 4 game home and one 4 game road series against each team (in their conference) per season. Start date on May 19th. All-Star game on June 27th. No Wildcards, 1 playoff round, best of 7. How do I post the schedule here? |

This happened to me before and I believe the game will adjust the date accordingly, for some reason it just always displays the wrong year. If you have the start month, day and week set how you want to your new league should start when you want it to.

Problem with that is I can't change the start month/day. When I try, it says "date must be in future" and ignores my change. It just stays at Apr 8 no matter what.

Just wondering - does anyone know if this has been addressed? Still happens with the latest beta.

I basically want all the games from 4-8/5-15 to start on 6/29 after a 3-day ASB from 6/26-6/28. Thanks. |

This is a fictional league. My biggest problem with it is, once I added the feeder league, I wanted to add more teams to the feeder, so I did. The problem came when it wouldn't let me generate a new schedule nor change the current one. So the first season of the league a bunch of feeder teams never played a game. Once the next off season began, no problem generating a new sched then. |

See if you can import this....It's set to start on Friday May 19. If you get an error message, tell me the exact message you get. I don't have an all star game set in this ...rearranging things takes much longer to do. I just want to make sure you can import it right now.

Here's how you edit start dates in the schedule.. The element line is always the second line in the schedule and always starts with <Schedule type and looks like this depending on setup: Code:
<SCHEDULE type="ILN_BGY_G72_SL1D1T10SL2D1T10" inter_league="0" balanced_games="1" games_per_team="72" start_day_of_week="6" start_month="5" start_day="19" allstar_game_day="0"> start_month="5" start_day="19" The Month is May and the day is the 19th. ILN is Interleague =No: Sets to no interleague play as well as the inter_league="0" ILY sets to Interleague play as well as interleague_="1". BGN is Balanced games =No: Sets balanced games to no as well as the balanced_games="0" and BGY sets it to yes as well as balanced_games="1". The SL1D1T10SL2D1T10 means you have 2 Subleagues with 1 division each and 10 teams in each division. So SL=subleague. D=Division. T=teams. Schedules can be edited in any text editor. Now that you know that crap, let's say you wanted it to start June 4, 2017. Simply change the day of week to 1 (which is Sunday in 2017) Change the Start Month to 6 (June is the 6th month of the year.) Change the Start day to 4 (4th day of the month). Save it and import and your season will start on Sunday June 4, 2017. Pretty simple. Last edited by Bigrod; 07-25-2013 at 11:20 PM. |
