playoff rosters

okay...the playoff roster thing seems pretty complicated and all i wanna do is play.

so here's a question:

is there a way to just click an option that would automatically make the players who are currently on the active roster to be put on the playoff roster?

if there is, where is it?

if there isn't, there should be?

The game pre-populates your playoff roster, as you know, but it does not just move over the current active roster nor should it, as there are rules (barely legible in the screen shot below) that must be followed. Given those rules, you may have some choices to make which, if it were me, I would want to put some thought to rather than just clicking a button.

You can always just turn playoff roster rules off, if you prefer.

League Menu -> League Setup -> Rules -> Postseason Roster Rules option in the left-hand column.

Ah, you're on a Mac, that might possibly make a difference. I'll have to let someone who knows the Mac version chime in, sorry.

that's the first time i ever heard of a difference between the 2 platforms with OOTP.

doesn't make sense why it would be that way.

I don't think it's that. I think it's a timing issue. Look at the game dates in the screenshots - yours is early in the season while his is during the playoffs. I'd guess that's why it doesn't show on his - you can't turn off the playoff roster rules once the playoffs are underway.

I suspect the option will reappear once he gets to either the offseason or preseason period.
