A rash of suspensions

Three seasons in with no suspensions - third season, barely thirty games in and already I've had three players suspended with Pedroia out for 13 games. What would cause this?

Probably just bad luck. But Pedroia for 13 games?! Gee, what did he do? Body slam the opposing pitcher or something?

Maybe your team started off too well in the win column, and the AI is trying to get some revenge.
