What level of minors to add?

I have a 2 division league, with promotion and relegation, which I do manually. The top division is ML level and the second division is IL level and I am happy enough with the way finances work out. At present there is no amateur draft and all teams have a reserve roster, but I am thinking of adding one layer of minors and starting an ammy draft. What level of minors would you guys recommend putting in? Any thoughts gratefully received.

There really is no set answer to this; it's a matter of preference. The game adjusts itself for the number of minor league levels, from zero (reserve roster only) on up.

Personally, I prefer four because I like tracking the guys as they move up (or down) through levels; reserve roster only bores me. Four fits nicely into the minor league screen, given my laptop screen resolution. At work, where I am now, I just noticed that six fits into that window.

I'm glad I play the game on my laptop in this regard. Four is good (AAA, AA, A, Rookie) and six, as shown below, would be too much to handle. Five would bother me because it would leave an open gap in the display.

So again, it's a matter of preference.

thanks for your reply, Bru, but I think I didn't explain myself clearly: I only want to add one level of minors, so the question is whether it should be AAA, AA or A? I'm kind of talking myself into opting for AAA, as players will be potentially moving from there into a major league set-up.

Oh, sorry. Hmmm. I think the game would adjust so that even if you choose "Rookie" as your one and only minor league, it would be fine. Aesthetically, and just to be on the safe side, I would go with AAA, however. Aesthetically in that you can "imagine" the other, lower levels below it and on the safe side just in case I don't know what I am talking about, as usual. ()

Cheers, Bru, that's kind of how I was thinking.
