Lost Player
Going from 13 to 14, a star player of mine is gone!
When I found him, he was a FA but would never sign. So I went and just added him at his contract from before. Then he remained exhausted, couldnt pitch and then disappeared again!!! His name changed and became 18 and eligible for the draft. Is there any way to import just one player? Because while I changed him back to who he was supposed to be, his career is gone. He's the reigning CY Young winner.....its very annoying. |

Wow - never heard of anything like that. Markus would probably need to take a look at your league files to have any idea what might have happened.
The good news is you should still have your OOTP13 league where your player still exists and has his history. You could delete the imported league in OOTP14 and start fresh, trying a new import and hoping it was something flukey. When you try doing it this time, make note of this player's player ID when in commish mode. In fact, I'd take note of it in your OOTP13 league as well. The only thing I can think of is that somehow this particular player's ID accidentally got re-used and the game thought it was available to assign to someone else. Another question - what time of year (in game) did you try doing the import? I typically try to do mine at the end of the postseason just before the offseason starts - historically this seems to be the most stable time to do an import for most people, even though supposedly you can do an import at any time of year. |
