Fictional league with Real Players?

I started a fictional league, but I want to use real players. Can I do that? The free agent pool is filled with all fictional players. How do I get rid of all of them?

Play one season fictional. Before your draft, check import historical player and if you want Random debut check that also. If you want random debut both must be checked. There might be way to do it from the start but if there is I believe it is more complicated and the way i described is the way i do it. I then erase league history. So if i want a league to start in 2000 with real players I start in 1999 draft in November. Forgot to mention delete all players in the league unless you want some fictional players to stay.

You can create a real life current MLB game or a historical game and simply edit all the team names, locations, historical IDs (if needed or desired), etc.

Make sure to turn off automatic expansion if you're using a historical league.

Thanks. I deleted all the fictional players and have checked to import real rookies randomly, but now my draft pool is empty. How do I get the pool filled with real (and random) players?

have to copy & paste the stats folder line into the database path under League Setup - options. use crtl-c to copy & ctrl-v to paste mouse controls dont work.
Yours may differ from mine.
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 14\stats
You can also set this up in League Creation - Advanced Options - Source Databases - Database. Select the Historical database.odb (i have yet to do this on 14 but it shoudl be the same as on 12 & 13.)
