What Does Update Pictures Automatically Do?

This is new in 14. what does it do?

That's not new - been in OOTP for quite some time.

It updates the teams player pics. Maybe you traded for some new players or signed some FA's.

While we're on the subject, I've been wondering for a while what the difference is between "Update this team's pictures now" and "Request pictures update." Anyone?

Does anyone know whether player pictures update automatically if I change the beard frequency in Player and Pictures Options? If I change the mix from 100% clean shaven to 100% beards, will the player pictures automatically update to reflect that?

Not for existing players, unless you generate new pictures.

It will affect all players that come into the league from that point on.

Actually, would it be better to manually de-beard them, because generating a new picture would generate a new person, so the speak, wouldn't it?

Yes, you can certainly do that. I do it all the time when I start a new league.

I set my preferences for hair/facial hair type, then generate all new player pictures so the changes take effect.

Remember to hit enter after editing the facial hair/hair type, otherwise the changes don't stick. Have to do it for each box/type.
