SP Only going 3 innings

Can someone help me out? I have a Starting pitcher who for 10 season been going 6-8 innings per start...All of a sudden the last 10 starts he gets pulled after 2-3 innings when not tired.

I checked his stamina which is 138. I checked to see if injured...he is not and I checked to see if I had a team or player setting out of whack to yank early. I do not.

What happened and how do I fix it?

thanks, It probably something simple but its making me furious!

And he's not getting pulled for poor performance? Is it only this certain pitcher who is getting pulled early and the other pitchers on your team are going the normal distance? Did you accidentally change his role from 'SP' to 'MR'?

His role is SP and I have not changed anything. He is ace of my staff and each 2-3 innings outing through between 30-40 pitches and gives up zero runs.

Also we are in the AL so its a DH and does not get pulled for pinch hitter

Hmm... Is he taking his proper turn in the rotation? I say this because I encountered an issue in OOTP 13 where the game kept wanting to start Felix Hernandez on 2 or 3 days rest. It seemed to be something wacky where he kept showing up the 7 day lineups for some reason. It didn't affect me since I play out my games and I just changed the SP back to whoever it was supposed to be, but it was a little annoying. The only other thing I can think of is rain delays, but if you are seeing him being pulled early consistently, that would seem very unlikely.

No rain delays I checked. He is starting every 5th day. Its a shame because my bullpen stinks and its causing my to lose in a playoffs stretch. The first half of the season he was fine

Did you check pitch count limit?

maybe you accidentally checked his pitch count limit around 40.

You can edit in player game strategy or pitching section for starter of your team (PCnt)

Never thought of that, so I check the player strategy section and Pitch count=0

Ill check on the next game too in the ingame strategy but I am figuring that's not it.

I have had this happen rare as it seems. Did your starting pitcher NOT start at 100% possibly was still tired so therefore he couldnt go the full game ??? My pitcher was tired after 3.1 innings but I made him finish the 4th inning.

Ill take some screens when I can.

I set lineups for each game and then sim the rest of the game so I can only see how tired he is after the game. he comes back between 0 and 40% left in the tank. Zero for a guy with a SP stamina rating of 138. I just increased through the editor to 180 to see if that helps. I am in the off season so I wont know now. I stay in the off season a long time .
