Batter expectations

Some of my hitters are not happy with where they are batting in the order. I searched the manual, but didn't find the answers to these questions. Any help is appreciated:

A) Is Top of the Order 1-3 and Middle of the Order 4-6?

B) Will a hitter have to be in all orders (vs LHP, Vs RHP and both of those vs with DH) to be happy in the requested role?

C) not the same topic, but if a player has Very High leadership will he positively affect everyone on the team or only some of them? Also, will multiple great leaders improve everyone more than one will?

Thanks

I believe, but cannot state with certainty, that top of the lineup is the #1 spot only and middle of the lineup are spots #3-#5. It should be enough if they are in their prefered spots in your "primary lineup". that is vs RHP and DH or not depending on your own league.

I had a guy win 4 batting titles in 11 years while pissed because he wasn't hitting 345.

The fact that he had 1/5 power didn't change his fantasy, I had him bat leadoff and he regularly led the league in runs scored.

I had a player demand to be "top of the lineup" and he seemed satisfied with the #2 position. But not #3.

Interestingly I think this is fluid. I've had players like yours and I've had the type like I posted who were happy with 3 4 5 but not 6 2 or 1

So I think it goes

123 456 789 maybe with no DH and

12 3456 789 maybe with DH or some duplication where 3 and 7 are in two areas

123 34567 789 I've had players wanting the middle of the order ok with 7

Thanks for all the responses. It seems like when a player is mad for a while it hurts his development, right? I have a really deep team in my offline league and the AAA farm team is packed with guys who want to be in the majors. Since they can't their potential (and sometimes actual) ratings drop regularly. Other than trading them or bringing them up to the majors, there isn't anything I can do, right?

I don't think the players emotional responses affect development as much as stagnating in AAA will. This is good and realistic. There should be a penalty for having too many "ready" players. Find a younger maybe a riskier prospect who is blocked on another team and ship one of your guys over.

At some point you have to decide who must go and get what you can for them. Some will go on to be stars others will fade.
