Good year to generate int'l free agents?
Hey guys, I started my season in 1970 and am currently in August of 1979. I'm thinking about allowing international amateur free agents into the league next season and I'm curious about whether or not that is realistic. Were international players entering the league in 1980? If I do decide to bring them in, what's a good amount to enter into the league? The settings allow few (13 players), default (26), more (52), or a lot (104).
So ultimately, I have two questions: *To attempt to stay realistic, should I bring international players to the game in 1980? If not, when should I do that? *Again, to attempt to be realistic, how many should I allow into the league each season? Thanks for the help! |

I believe outside of Latinos most international guys started to come in 1990's with Nomo and Hideki Irabu, Ichiro ect. you did have Jamaicans Chili Davis and Devon White in 1980's and Craig Shipley from Austrelia in the 1986 so a few internationals but most came in the 1990's

Thanks for the input from both of you guys. Yes, I was talking about amateur free agents, but I appreciate the response nonetheless. If I'm going to bring in international guys at this point in my dynasty, maybe I should keep them limited in numbers throughout the 80's.
