Build 40 issues
Here are a number of additional issues I have noticed in Build 40.
- Players retiring after the first season of current day are linked in their retirement news item to the wrong player - usually a nobody player from 40 years ago or so. This is in current simming, not historical. It appears that the player did retire, it is just the news item link (from what I can tell). - Despite the release notes, Historical mode is still not holding its amateur drafts, nor is it holding its expansion drafts. - I have successfully created a lot of leagues in this build, but starting in any year from 1967 to approx. late 80's causes the game to crash when it's creating the league. -A lot of crashing. Whether historical or current, I am encountering a lot of can't-get-past-this-date crashes, as well as auto-simming-random crashes. - Selective past and future data. Some leagues I have started shows random future champions (from actual data) in the league history screen, forward of the current date / start date. They are overwritten as we pass those dates. Also I have seen players with odd historical stats like when I started in 1965, Willie O'Ree had a couple of seasons of NHL data from the 1950's. This might be due to the NHL acronym for other leagues - he was in the NBJHL and NBSHL; I think this is happening with the National British leagues as well. Not sure if it's isolated to this. - Simming with a logo pack installed, shows many of the same logos up and down the standings; when sim is stopped they appear ok. Also when simming current year it showed a bunch of "FA" left of players' names that seemed odd as it's mid-season and no other logos appeared at that time anyway. Not sure if these are issues with the logo pack but I mention it on the reasonable chance it's program related. On a good note, I notice that the Leafs are no longer winning the Cup. So I'm glad that is fixed. ![]() That's all for now, thanks. |
